Deirdre Knight Centre

Charity registered in Scotland SC014170

The Centre provides day care facilities for older people who live in the Forfar area.

We believe that all people regardless of age or disability have the right to live in their own homes as long as they wish to, with the help of whatever services are available, this Centre is proud to offer some of those services.

We also believe that all persons have the right to live their lives with dignity and comfort, as independently as possible and with some adventure.

Current opportunity

We are a voluntary organisation in Forfar and centre-based day care for adults in Forfar and the surrounding area. We are looking to increase our volunteers at the centre to assist our dedicated staff team! The centre is looking for volunteers assist within the centre, with activities and socialise with members. Assiting staff to allow us to offer more variety in our activities as well as Activity Volunteers to share a talent or interest they have with our service user group. For example: Arts & Crafts, Sports, Baking, Gardening, Woodworking, Origami, Exercises, the list could be endless! Both of these opportunities are additional to staffing levels required and would be supported by staff. We are open Monday to Friday, 8.30pm to 4pm. For more information please contact 01307 468314.
