Are you a Cricket fan? Want to get involved through volunteering.
Like all sports, cricket needs people who take on organisational and officiating roles to make it possible for others to play. Every match played requires a host of volunteer input to make them run smoothly so whether you want to get involved as a Scorer, Umpire, Match Secretary, Coaches and assistants, Captains, Parental Liaison, Schools, Volunteer driver there will always be an opportunity for you?
We currently have opportunities for people to become involved in:
· Scoring – keeping match scores, maintaining statistics etc.
· Umpiring- the cricket equivalent of refereeing
We run two adult teams which play on Saturdays, Sundays and on some mid-week evenings and are looking to recruit scorers and umpires for both teams.
These opportunities would be suitable for people who have an interest in sport, but do not wish to participate as players. They provide an opportunity to be part of the team, without taking part in the more physical elements of the game. There are established pathways in these disciplines that allow people to progress from officiating at local clubs through to international sport.
