Our popular support groups take place throughout Angus and we are looking for volunteers to support the groups. These have been taking place via zoom but with restrictions lifting the groups are beginning to return to face-to-face meetings. The groups are led by a Carer Support Worker and the role of the volunteer will be to come along and help out. The groups are informative and give carers a break from their caring role. This is a new opportunity and will provide the volunteer with a better understanding of the challenges that carers face. Training and support will be given and the time commitment is a few hours each month. Potential volunteers will be required to undertake a volunteer interview on zoom. Volunteers will also be required to undertake membership of the PVG (Protection of Vulnerable Groups) Scheme. Below are the essential and desirable criteria for this role.
