The Lead Volunteer will support the Regional Digital Inclusion Coordinators supervising, training and guiding Digital Champion volunteers. It is expected that the Lead Volunteer will support up to 10 volunteers delivering digital sessions to our clients as well as ideally delivering sessions themselves.
Key activities include:
• Inducting volunteers to Discover IT clients and centres, to Digital Champion toolkits and processes
• Liaise between the Coordinator, the clients, centres and volunteers
• Encouraging disabled people to feel confident in using computer technology
• Ideally helping clients set up and get started on their IT equipment, troubleshooting IT issues and supporting clients with basic IT skills.
Volunteers required to provide support to Leonard Cheshire residents in the service centres across Edinburgh and Fife. Support disabled people in the community through digital technology such as telephone, Zoom, Face time, Facebook portals, Teams, Skype and any other communication platforms, you are comfortable with.
To inform, entertain, educate, and support disabled people within our community in Edinburgh and Fife, by documenting landmarks, leisure centres, sports, wildlife and conservation through video recordings and photography.
