Charity registered in Scotland SC039837
SAAP was formed to promote equal access for all, drawing on the skills and experience of its volunteers to provide information, advice and support on all access matters, to raise the profile of access issues in the community, and to exercise a positive influence on access policy making.
The main aims of SAAP are:-
To receive and respond to requests for involvement, consultation and advice, to liaise with other agencies on relative matters both of policy and practice and to maximise accessibility and related issues.
To encourage, participate in and where necessary organise meetings, seminars and/or exhibitions in order to provide a greater understanding of access issues with the public, private and voluntary sectors.
To establish itself as a professional, sustainable organisation that will provide an authoritative source of technical and practical expertise on all accessibility and related issues to organisations and services.
