We all need to stay at home to protect ourselves and others. However, those who are well and not at risk can provide essential support for their family, friends and neighbours who cannot leave the house.

Gordon District Scouts Association

Charity registered in Scotland SC032636

The purpose of Scouting is to promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social & spiritual potentials. As individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities.

Current opportunity

Volunteering with us is fun and flexible. Whether you help out once a week, fortnight, month or term or just at special events or camps, there is bound to be a role you can play. If it's 1 hour a week or 168, there's a role for you. As well as gaining externally recognised skills and having a brilliant time, Scouting also offers the chance to build on personal skills, like teamwork, confidence and leadership. You don’t have to be an adventurer like Bear Grylls to get involved. Do you have first aid knowledge? Are you good with numbers? Handy in the kitchen? Or are you a DIY whizz? We all have useful skills and you can volunteer and help in many ways. Many of our helpers and leaders are parents of our youth members because they’ve seen first-hand how Scouting benefits young people and want to give something back. See www.gordondistrictscouts.org.uk for more details.
