Scottish Traditional Boat Festival

To celebrate the traditional maritime and cultural heritage of Scotland through a festival of traditional boats, music, dance, crafts and food.


Current opportunity

There are multiple volunteer opportunities available, a great way to be involved in an exciting and vibrant festival! Week prior to Festival (w/c 15.06.20, weekday evenings): Support Facilities Team with building up Festival area site eg marquees, bar, Herras fencing, chairs, tables. During Festival (evening of Friday 19.06.20; all day Saturday 20.06.20 & all day Sunday 21.06.20): Facilities support – support Festival team and vendors with supply of tables/chairs etc, set out chairs at stage area, set up for specific events/performances, keep festival site clean and tidy. Stewards – be available to ensure Festival area is kept safe for visitors, provide information to visitors, provide escort for parades etc including Saturday evening Viking torch-lit parade. After Festival (AM/PM Monday 22.06.20): Support Facilities Team with breakdown/clearup after event – collect tables/chairs, return items to storage, general clean up of Festival area to return it to normal.
