Over the past few years, Health and Social Care has become a focus locally and nationally. Simply put, health and social care is about bringing care in to the community, to enable people to live longer, healthy lives from their home. CTSI’s Integration Engagement Officer works at the heart of this agenda. The Clackmannanshire and Stirling Health and Social Care Partnership, in collaboration with CTSI, are looking for volunteers to assist with a fortnightly well-being outreach session, on Thursday's from 10am until 12pm. The Clackmannanshire and Stirling Health and Social Care Partnership envision and work towards enabling people across the two local authorities to live full and positive lives within supportive communities. Set up in 2011, CTSI exists to enable the development of the Third Sector in Clackmannanshire, to meet the needs of the community and to support the Third Sector have their voice heard in Community Planning and other partnerships. This role will involve a minimum of a commitment once a month, to oversee a drop in well-being outreach session at The Speirs Centre. The session currently runs each fortnight, and is there to provide information, resources, and signposting for local mental health, and well-being services. As a well-being outreach assistant, you will be responsible for: - setting up the room with relevant information materials (provided for you) - being on hand during the two hour session to welcome people to the drop in, and speak with them if they would like to allow you to direct them to the correct resource/signpost them to a local service - keep a record of the numbers of attendees to the drop in, and the sorts of information/services they were looking for - keep track of how many materials are taken away so CTSI can re-order as necessary - pass on any follow ups/1:1 appointments required to CTSI's Integration and Engagement Officer The beauty of this role is that you can get involved as much or as little as you would like – some volunteers may choose to help at one session a month, whilst others feel they can commit to fortnightly. We aim to have two people covering each session. To carry out this role, you need to have a passion for health and well-being. You will also need to have excellent communication skills, and be able to work effectively with lots of different people. A non-judgemental attitude is vital. The role will undertake a person-centred, rights-centred approach (training will be provided) and so this needs to be adhered to. A good knowledge of the area, and services would be helpful, but not mandatory as all the information will be provided, and training provided.

Clackmannanshire Third Sector Interface (CTSI) are recruiting volunteer Saltire Ambassadors to help us plan, promote, and implement the Saltire Awards across Clackmannanshire. We need young people who are currently volunteering or who have volunteered in the past . We can be flexible with the time commitmen needed, but we think that on average it would work out to be around 8-10 hours per month. Saltire Ambassadors can take on a varirty of roles in supporting the running of the Awards, such as: - Inspire other young people to get involved in volunteering - Summit Panel - decideing on Summit Award nominations - Promotional Events, Workshops and Presentations - Helping to organise Saltire Challenge events - Publicity and Communication e.g website, Facebook, Twitter - Helping to organise Award Ceremonies - Compiling case studies, image banks, short films etc. - Administration Support This is a very rewarding volunteer opportunity that comes with ongoing training and support from CTSI. Set up in 2011, CTSI is funded by a grant from the Scottish Government and is overseen by a voluntary Board of Directors drawn from members of the Third Sector in Clackmannanshire. CTSI exists to enable the development of the Third Sector in Clackmannanshire, to meet the needs of the community, and to represent the Third Sector in Community Planning. We are interested in having a volunteer join our team to assist us in refreshing the data stored on our CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system. We work with nearly 300 organisations and many more individuals. Ensuring we have up to date information stored on them all is a constant process. This role will involve lots of phone calls and emails to organisations and individuals to check in with them to allow us to update the information we have stored on our CRM. We are looking for someone who has good organisational skills, a basic competence on computers, verbal and written communication skills, and an ability to work as part of a team. We are a small team whose roles often interlink. We all rely on the data stored on our CRM Milo and so we will all be willing to assist with any questions you have. You will also have a comprehensive induction upon starting. However, your main point of contact will be our Business Manager, or in her absence, the Volunteer Development Officer. This role will allow you to interact with lots of different people across the county, and engage with them face to face should you wish to attend our community breakfasts each month. You will also have access to any of the free training we arrange for volunteers and members and you will be fully trained for the role We can also provide you with a reference if you are with us over 3 months.

As a response to Universal Credit becoming live in Clackmannanshire, we have an IT and Employability Trainer within the team, who has a focus on supporting claimants with the online system. This is done on a drop- in basis across the County. As demand for this service is growing, we have recognised that more general IT and digital support is required in Clackmannanshire, and so we are looking for volunteers to assist in supporting people on a 1:1 basis. Tasks may include: - Assisting with online job searches - Helping to build confidence with general IT tasks (using Microsoft word to be able to write a CV or cover letter, setting up or using an email account etc) - CV/Cover letter/Application form assistance This role will be based in various locations across the County, and so you would be able to choose the location(s) most suitable for you. We are looking for a commitment of at least one session a week, which usually last between 2-3 hours depending on location. To carry out this role, you will need to be: - confident and capable using IT equipment yourself - be comfortable working with people on a 1:1 or small group basis - Have excellent communication skills Training will be provided, including an introduction to the IT and software you will be using. Our IT and Employability Officer will cover topics such as: benefits advice, listening skills, signposting to local services, confidentiality and information literacy. We will also endeavour to provide additional training as and when possible, for example IT Train the Trainer courses.
