NHS Grampian

The vision of NHS Grampian is to improve the health of people in Grampian, by increasing the rate at which the health of the population improves, and at the same time narrowing the gap in health between our most disadvantaged and our most affluent communities. Providing services that patients are at the heart of, receiving safe high-quality treatment based on clinical needs when they need it, within comfortable surroundings.

Current opportunities

The Community Chaplain Listening (CCL) Service helps people (re)discover hope and inner strength in times of illness, change and loss”. Can you be a good listener? Could you help someone explore what they are going through? Listening to people’s concerns can help them feel less isolated and anxious while helping them feel more hopeful and valued. CCL Listeners do not offer counselling, the person talks the listener listens. Volunteers can play a vital role supporting the work of the Department of Spiritual Care/CLS. There is no requirement for volunteers or service users to be a member of a faith or belief group.

We are looking for someone to maintain our small garden area at the front entrance of Peterhead Community Hospital. The area has just been upgraded by a Prince's Trust Team project and is fairly low maintenance. It is a great space for staff, patients and visitors to have some time in the fresh air away from the hospital environment.
