GREC is the leading equality organisation for the North East of Scotland. We are a charity and we work with others to ensure that everyone is valued for who they are and is able to contribute with encouragement and without fear of discrimination or unfair treatment.

Current opportunity

You might have heard of Grampian Regional Equality Council before. GREC has been working to promote positive community relations in North East Scotland for over 39 years. We works to support individuals who have been impacted by racism, other forms of discrimination, prejudices or inequality of society. We are expanding our Counselling Service and looking to recruit more compassionate psychotherapists/counsellors to support our children & young people in Aberdeen city and shire with Play Therapy and Counselling. Are you compassionate for humanity and equality? The new project of ours are to support the children and young people settled in Scotland due to the war conflicts (New Scots) and other circumstances. As children and young people are considered the future of the society, our team of volunteering therapists would have the opportunity to make a difference, one child at a time, together. -Essential Qualifications: • Counselling Skills Certificate, and • Diploma in Children & Young People Counselling (Qualified or Trainees) Even though this is a voluntary position, we want you to feel that your contributions and expertise are deeply appreciated and valued by us, we work to present our gratitudes for you in acts below: -Benefits: • CPD Trainings Monthly (In-house & Video); • Encounter Group Monthly • Group Supervision Monthly • 1-to-1 Managerial Supervision • We cover the transport & travel costs A couple of hours weekly of your time will provide such a safe space for individual young children therapeutically, significantly.
