Provide support to service users who have severe and enduring mental health problems into work (paid or voluntary) or education. We also refer clients to other support services if outwith our area of expertise.

Current opportunity

The main role of volunteers will be to befriend people aged 16years and over who are presently experiencing mental health difficulties or social isolation or loneliness. The volunteers will be matched with people with similar interests so they can engage in their local community in a variety of ways from going out for a coffee and chat to perhaps shopping , cinema or sporting activities. Befriending by phone or online zoom type meetings can be arranged. Full induction, Mental Health First Aid training and ongoing contact and support will be given regularly. All out of pocket expenses will be reimbursed including travel and mileage costs.
