Individuals will gain the opportunity to utilise their driving skills through using either our mini bus or MPV (Multi-Purpose Vehicle) in transporting service users to and from CATH projects, pick up and deliver various items such as Starter packs etc. and accompany staff on a variety of outdoor activities, as required. Volunteers will also have the opportunity to interact with service users by having a coffee and a chat or being involved in the various activities.
This role provides volunteers the opportunity to work as part of a team with our cook, staff and other volunteers in all aspects of our Day Centre kitchen, assisting in the day to day smooth running of a busy kitchen whilst complying with all Food hygiene and Health & Safety requirements, there is also the opportunity to chat further with our service users once kitchen duties are completed.
This opportunity provides volunteers with the chance to engage directly with our service users while undertaking a variety of activities, assist staff and other volunteers in creating new activities, encourage the service users to engage in the activities and also with each other, discuss with the groups what activities would be of interest to them, organise and develop new activities to engage more service users.
This volunteering opportunity offers individuals the chance to fundraise for a homeless organisation. Volunteers will work with staff to research and identify various ways to fund raise, assist with all aspects of organising fundraising events and dealing with various companies, organisations and local authority etc. who wish to do corporate/group volunteering to raise funds.
