Current opportunity

We are looking for volunteers to help with the running of the Forth Valley Recovery Community's National Recovery Olympics on Friday 1st July 2022. From assisting parking, marshaling races, helping at the bouncy castle, score taking, etc. The event is inviting recovery communities from all over Scotland to come and compete in a sports day-themed event. It is about making recovery from substances visible, reducing stigma and connecting people in recovery. We are in the process of organising our First FVRC National Recovery Olympics. It will have a sports day theme with races such as sprints, 3-legged race, egg and spoon, wheelbarrow, sack race, relay race and tug of war. We are inviting recovery communities, organisations and partners from across Scotland that have an interest in recovery from addiction to enter teams and come together to make connections with others in recovery from substance use. We want this to be a free event so that community members can bring their family and friends along and fully enjoy being part of the day without having to worry about the financial cost.
