Current opportunities

Cruse Scotland supports bereaved adults, children and young people across Scotland. We are currently looking for new volunteers to help staff our helpline and to offer practice placement places for students completing counselling diploma and degree courses. Gain valuable experience and training to enable you to make a real difference to people’s lives. Helpline supporters are the first point of contact for bereaved people seeking support by telephone and email. You don’t have to be a trained counsellor. We provide full training and supervision. Volunteers can work remotely. Practice Placement for students can provide valuable experience in the area of grief and be of huge benefit with interpersonal and communication skills

Like so many support organisations, we are seeing an increasing demand of our services and we are looking for qualified counsellors to join our therapeutic team. This is a unique opportunity to provide specialist intervention to support people to gain an insight and understanding into their grief. We work within a time limited model of support and ask that all volunteers work with a minimum of two clients at any given time.
