Current opportunity

ELPA aims to promote and enrich the culture of play in East Lothian. ELPA has a strong sense of purpose and our success has been recognised in Scottish, UK and international awards. We work closely with partners including East Lothian Council and third sector groups. In 2019, we developed our 5-year strategic plan, Playful Futures and have updated it to reflect new priorities as a result of COVID. ELPA is in the process of transferring all its work to a new SCIO that has been approved by the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR). Trustees’ commitment to ELPA includes: active participation in Trustees’ Meetings usually every 6 weeks in the evenings; participation in ELPA events and activities, developing ELPA’s policies and plans; working with staff to support them in achieving ELPA aims; occasionally, representing ELPA at meetings, events and in the media; contributing your skills, knowledge, creativity and sense of fun.
