Current opportunities

Having set up at the start of the Covid-19 lock down we've created a community of hospitality and food workers helping each other and our communities. We collect food donations and convert them into free meals for the food insecure citizens of Edinburgh. We need professional chefs who want to keep their hands in the kitchen and help their communities.

Delivery drivers and cyclists deliver meal packs across Edinburgh. A driving shift would normally contain a minimum of 20 stops, depending on your route. A cycling route would be smaller. Routes are sent out by text. Drivers and cyclists deliver directly to our client’s homes, and are therefore the face of Empty Kitchens. The role is a fantastic way to interact with people as well as really see who the packs are going to and how needed this service is. There are shifts any day of the week.
