Western Isles Support for Cats and Kittens (WISCK)

The principal aim of WISCK is to reduce the number of feral, stray, abandoned or unwanted cats and kittens in the Western Isles.

The area of operation, subject to constraints imposed by available funds and volunteers, is within the Western Isles of Scotland.

Current opportunities

WISCK are looking for volunteers 18 and over to help with cleaning pens one morning per week. Could you spare an hour one morning a week to help our local cats and kittens? If so please contact your local Volunteer Centre in the Western Isles (Stornoway or Tarbert) to find out more!

Western Isles Support for Cats and Kittens was established early in 2020 in response to the growing need for control of the feral cat population, especially in Lewis and Harris Much as we love the cats and kittens we rescue, none of them are great at getting a load of washing done. Can anyone help by doing a load a week on a regular basis? Washing liquid can be provided. Ideal way to support the work we’re doing easily without having to give up too much time. Without local support we’ll never succeed. Thank you.
