Perth & Kinross Duke of Edinburgh Assocation
Charity registered in Scotland
The Association was set up to advance the mental, physical and spiritual welfare of young people between the ages of 14 and 25 by promoting the scheme of Awards known as The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.
In recent years, whilst maintaining the core function of the Association we have focused our activities on provision of support and experiential learning for targeted groups of young people with Additional Support Needs (ASN).
The Starfish Way is looking for mentors to work on a 1-2-1 basis with our fabulous young people with varied additional support needs. Based at Megginch Castle Estate and/or Perth we seek Mentors who are empathetic and patient with an understanding of the challenges faced by young people experiencing a variety of additional support needs without preconception or judgement. Mentors will provide guidance, support and inspiration to young people, build trusted relationships and offer a safe and nurturing environment for the young people to thrive.
If you can help change a young person life, please contact us at email@example.com or call 01738 627455 / 07951 557979 for more information.
Based in Errol, Perthshire, we are looking for gardeners to work in the gardens of Megginch Castle Estate. The estate is used by several charity and community groups, including ourselves and we would like to repay the kindness and generosity shown to us by helping recruit volunteers to help maintain and enhance the historic grounds which are home to a national collection of heritage apples and pears, walled, rose and physic gardens and giant redwoods. It is a serene and tranquil environment that recharges the soul, a gardener’s paradise!
