WGWW illustrates how gardening in a manner which is attractive to wildlife, can have a positive effect on biodiversity, and is also beneficial to physical and mental health. WGWW strive to do this by maintaining a garden at Woodside which is open for anyone to enjoy, individually or in small groups


Current opportunities

This recently established charity, is looking for a volunteer willing to work a few hours each week as treasurer. As Treasurer, you would need to become a Board Member of this registered Scottish charity. You will need to handle membership payments, as well as the day to day operational costs, with the support of the other Board members. It is anticipated that in the future the charity may apply for grants and so the treasurer should be able to assist with this. The charity is based in Woodside Walled Garden, Ancrum, Jedburgh. This is a voluntary position, with expenses being paid out on request.

This recently established charity, is looking for a volunteer willing to work a few hours each week to co-ordinate our publicity requirements in order to recruit volunteers, members and to let potential users of the garden know what we do. The successful candidate should be fluent in using social media, and should be able to keep our website and Facebook page up to date, as well as meeting members of the public. You would work closely with the Board, and you may choose to become a Board member, which would be helpful, but not essential. The charity is based in Woodside Walled Garden, Ancrum, Jedburgh. This is a voluntary position, with expenses being paid out on request.
