Current opportunities

Partnerships for Wellbeing is a well-established charity that offers services such as Health Walks and Community Transport. As we head towards our 20th anniversary we’re looking for 2 new Directors to join our Board of Trustees. You’ll help shape our strategy for the years ahead and you’ll provide valued advice and guidance to the management team responsible for providing life-enhancing services to the community. Our charity is supported by funds from NHS Highland, Highland Council and many other agencies and organisations. Board Directors have a key role in ensuring that money is well spent. If you have experience in the public or private sector, perhaps as a manager or organiser, you’ll have a lot to contribute...but more than that, we’re looking for directors with the kind of life experience relevant to the aims of our charity. Our current chairperson is stepping down at the end of 2021, so we’re looking for Directors who might eventually be interested in taking that leading role on our Board You’ll find more information about Partnerships for Wellbeing on our website P4w.org.uk

P4W Transport provides registered clients with low-cost community transport in Inverness. We currently have two vehicles of our own and volunteers who use our vehicles are covered under our insurance. There are also opportunities for drivers who are able to use their own car and be reimbursed for mileage. The majority of our clients are elderly, and many have difficulty with mobility or have dementia. The driver is the human face of our service, and he/she will have a stronger relationship with our service users than anyone else in the operation. The driver is an important factor in enabling clients to feel safe and comfortable on their journey. Drivers with good rapport and a sense of humour make a great impression on the people they carry.
