Angus Voice represents the views and experiences of people in Angus who have mental health problems.

Angus Voice is for and led by people who have personal experience of accessing mental health services. The aim is to build the capacity and involvement of people who use mental health services enabling us to contribute to improving the services that affect us. We do this by building partnerships and challenging stigma and discrimination.


Current opportunity

Angus Voice a local charity based in Forfar is looking for potential new board members. Our aim is to support people with mental health issues to receive better services. Added to this we also run a walking/coffee group for service users with mental health problems. We take part in meetings on all aspects of mental health services locally. Also we participate in issues such as the Independent Inquiry into mental health services in Tayside. Further to this, we also through our advocacy role meet regularly with other third sector organisations to do with mental health locally. We are looking for board members who are interested in these issues and ideally with experience in this field. You may wish to become a trustee of Angus Voice.
