Abilitynet (Shetland)

Charity registered in Scotland SC039866

AbilityNet exists to improve the lives of people with disabilities and older people, by helping them to use computers and other digital technology to achieve their goals at home, at work and in education.
We achieve this through services including our free helpline, on-demand webinars, factsheets and My Computer My Way which is a unique guide to the many ways you can adjust your desktop computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone to make it easier to use. We also have a network of highly skilled IT volunteers who visit people in their homes or assist remotely to fix a variety of IT problems and offer expert advice and information on digital technology.

Current opportunity

Abilitynet are looking for volunteers to: Troubleshoot technical issues, offer impartial advice on technology, set up new tech and install hardware and software. Show people how to use their tech at home and make adaptations to support a disabled person's specific technology needs.
