Marie Curie provides care and support for people living with any terminal illness, and their families. We’ve been carrying out this vital work for over 65 years – last year alone we cared for over 40,000 people across the UK. We can’t do what we do without our supporters, only you can make sure we can continue caring for people living with a terminal illness across the UK.


Current opportunity

Marie Curie are looking for Volunteer Complementary Therapists to help our patients and their carers improve their mental and physical wellbeing. Use your skills to help our hospice. By carrying out complementary therapies on patients and carers you will help alleviate their physical and mental stress. We welcome a wide range of therapies including yoga, acupuncture, massage and reiki. It’s vital that you have completed an approved training scheme, be registered with a relevant regulatory body and have indemnity and liability insurance. Must be committed to the principles of palliative care and its application in practice. This role can either be based at our Edinburgh Hospice or at the Day Therapy Unit in St John’s Hospital, Livingston.
