MWF are a grassroot community group engaged in supporting the local ecology, biodiversity and communities that rely on wild green spaces to feel well.

Current opportunities

Midlothian Wildflowers are seeking volunteers to help conserve and regenerate some of Midlothian’s neglected meadows. Our conservation volunteers do a range of activities, ranging including species monitoring, sowing and harvesting seed, and meadow raking to maintain balanced meadow soils. All abilities are welcome and no experience is necessary. You will be fully supported and working alongside nature-loving folk!

Midlothian Wildflowers are dedicated to preserving and restoring the wildflower meadows across Midlothian. We work tirelessly to raise awareness about the importance of these precious ecosystems and encourage community involvement in their protection and restoration. We are currently seeking someone with a knack for digital marketing and advertising to play a crucial role in raising public awareness, engaging the community, and promoting our mission. We’d love to hear from you if you can do any one of the following: 1. Developing and implementing effective marketing strategies to reach our target audience. 2. Creating compelling content for various platforms, including social media, website, newsletters, and press releases. 3. Managing our social media accounts, engaging with followers, and increasing our online presence. 4. Collaborating to design and distribute promotional materials such as brochures, flyers, and posters. 5. Assisting in organizing and promoting fundraising events and campaigns.
