Current opportunities

What brings a smile to my face? Seeing you. Do you have a welcoming smile? Can you talk to anyone? Are you approachable? It's difficult to describe what makes a great Volunteer Site Assistant, but that's a good place to start. Our wonderful volunteers embody the positive visitor experience. Are you an open, friendly, eloquent person? Could you help visitors understand more about Redwings Mountain DD8 3SQ and our resident horses and donkeys? Could you always be horse-pitable?! Could you excel at making someone's experience a truly memorable one? Whether that's directing our visitors around the site, finding the right information about a rescued resident, or even simply helping someone to park safely in our small car park, you will be someone who cares deeply about all those important details. If you are nodding, please apply. You could be key to helping us engage and make our visitors and long-term supporters feel valued.

Instead of cleaning the house, I just turn off all the lights! Here at redwings we'd rather leave the lights on so that we can welcome all our lovely visitors and share our passin for horse welfare! So, if you'd like to get a shine on the taps, or hoovering is t=your preferred daily workout, we need you! As a Volunteer Housekeeper, for a couple of hours a week, you could be a key part of the team that keeps our Visitor Centres running. We all muck in and clean here, but there's always somewhere that could do with that extra bit of elbow grease. With a friendly personality and a roll-up-your sleeves attitude, you could be the extra pair of hands we need. If you can offer us some of your precious time, our Visitor Centre Team would welcome you and support your training to help us make the experience for our visitors, one that is really special.
