Friends of the Broadway Prestwick

Friends of the Broadway Prestwick was founded in 2012 by local volunteers, with the aim of purchasing the building and reopening the Broadway Cinema once again. We’re Friends of the Broadway Prestwick, and we’re a community group dedicated to bringing the former Broadway Cinema in Prestwick into community ownership. Our aim is to reopen the Broadway as a cinema and inter-generational community hub.


Current opportunities

At Friends of the Broadway Prestwick we are looking for a volunteer to lead the production of professional on-screen assets such as adverts, titles, and daysets for our pop-up cinema shows. This will require someone who has experience in the relevant technical areas (e.g. video editing, animation, graphics, design etc.) but also someone who can take responsibility for leading and coordinating this activity ongoing. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cinema, a strong eye for branding and brand-identity, and will enjoy seeing their work appear on the big screen.

We are a Charity working towards re opening the Broadway Cinema in Prestwick, we are expanding quickly and looking for a volunteer to help and support with our IT infrastructure. We have recently been awarded not for profit licences from Microsoft but need help from a skilled IT person in setting up and maintaining this. We are looking for someone who is skilled in Office 365 administration to join as a volunteer in our support team. The Office 365 Administrator will be responsible for managing and configuring our Office 365 environment, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Skype for Business. they will also be responsible for managing user accounts, permissions, and security settings. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Office 365, as well as experience with IT systems security and compliance.
