The Seabank House charity operates 2 care homes in Aberdeen City, each providing support for vulnerable adults with mental health problems. Seabank House has capacity for 19 residents, while Aberlea House is a smaller project and has 5 residents. Both services are fully staffed 24/7. The main aim of the charity are to assist and support residents to live full and meaningful lives and to maximise their potential. As well as providing rooms, meals and communal areas, we also offer a range of different types of support depending on each individuals' needs. This includes areas such as preparing or and attending appointments, domestic tasks, medication compliance, organising personal finances/benefits and social therapy. The Board ae seeking to secure additional voluntary unpaid committee members to help oversee management of the charity. Supporting the work of paid staff and volunteers, committee members offer valuable life experience and objectivity to the management of the charity. Applications from those who have worked or advised in business management, mental health or social care sectors, education and local authorities are especially welcome.
