Located on Forbes Drive in Ayr, close to the town centre and

Prestwick, this new nursing home has been built with the comfort and quality of life of its residents in minds. The home comprises of eighty eight bedrooms, all with en-suite facilities, split into four wings over two floors, serviced by two lifts.


Current opportunities

We are looking for volunteers to support us on our outings with our older residents. We require a volunteer who would be willing to drive an 8 passenger vehicle from the Heathfield Nursing Home to different locations. Ideally you can commit to a weekly outing for half a day either mornings or afternoons depending on the event. However, we would also accept your support if you can make it twice a month and so creating a pool of volunteers.

We are opening our nursing home for volunteers who would like to befriend one of our residents. Make a difference to one of our residents. - Visit our nursing home - Spend one to one time with one of our residents. - Provide a friendly chat - Help alleviate feelings of loneliness and isolation by befriending an older person. It’s not just the people you’re supporting who benefit from you giving your free time. It’s hugely rewarding for you, too. Benefits include a sense of fulfilment, uplifted spirits and a way of meeting new people. It can really boost your confidence to know that you are helping someone and doing that little bit to improve their life.

We are looking for volunteers to support us on our outings with our older residents. We require a volunteer who would be willing to attend and assist residents and staff during our weekly outings for half a day either mornings or afternoons depending on the event. Ideally volunteers commit to a weekly outing, however we would also accept your support if you can make it twice a month and so creating a pool of volunteers.
