Woodland View is the state-of-the-art mental health and community facility at Ayrshire Central Hospital in Irvine which opened in 2016. Our shop aims to provide a friendly, helpful service for all visitors, staff and service users, we are appealing for volunteers to work alongside staff in the brand new retail shop. You will be fully supported and will receive training for your new roles. Just a few hours of your time a week can make a huge difference to the lives of our patients, visitors and staff and make a positive contribution to your local community. Typical tasks within role 1) To greet customers pleasantly. 2) Assist them in completing their purchase 3) Operate till to take payment 4) Replenish shelves/ cabinets with merchandise as required 5) Rotate stock, always ensuring oldest date at front 6) Alert supervisor/manager to stock close to sell by date 7) To assist in storing newly delivered stock Volunteer Requirements 1) To be smart and presentable, always wearing identification badge provided 2) To be enthusiastic about the aims and work of Woodland View and Ayrshire Central as a whole. 3) To be confident in undertaking required tasks and dealing with all customers 4) To be reliable and able to volunteer on a regular basis 5) To maintain patient and colleague confidentiality at all times
