Provides a service which enables physically disabled people and their families to lead integrated lives within the community. We aim to be flexible and responsive so everyone feels their needs are looked after. Current opportunity

Improving the Cancer Journey service (part of the wider Midlothian Wellbeing service provided by Thistle Foundation) aims to help people affected by cancer find the right support at the right time. Anyone over the age of 16 affected by cancer (including family members and carers) can access time with a practitioner to talk about what matters to them and help them get the right support. The ICJ drop-in sessions will: · Help raise awareness of the service · Support people affected by cancer in Midlothian to access ICJ support · Provide people affected by cancer information and signposting to other services. We are developing a small team of volunteers who with cover a monthly library-based drop in. ICJ volunteers will provide a warm welcome to people visiting the drop in, support a good conversation with them that helps them understand the role of ICJ and other supports that might be available for them.
