covid:aid is the UK’s national charity dedicated to supporting those significantly affected by Covid-19. Every single person in the UK has been significantly affected by Covid-19. covid:aid has been designed as a fully inclusive space to service the needs of all who have suffered – whoever they are, wherever they live, and whatever their circumstance.

By building an empowering and caring community, we want to help anyone who may not have found the right resources or support system to help. We provide a safe space where your voice can be heard, and you can gain access to support specific to your needs.


Current opportunities

As a digital charity, our social media channels are very important to us for raising awareness of who we are and what we do. Our aim is to develop a strong online presence and maximise engagement across all of our social media channels: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Linkedin & Tiktok. Your role within the charity will help us to reach a wider audience and in turn support more individuals affected by covid-19. The duties of a social media officer volunteer may include: Maintaining active social media accounts Creating and/or posting content on different social media channels, e.g. generating engaging instagram stories/interactive story polls etc Engaging with our social media audience, e.g. responding to comments/messages on our social media channels Suggest ideas to increase online engagement Keep up to date with social media trends and Liaising with other departments (fundraising, community etc) to understand and create effective content that is targeted at specific requirements The benefits to you Experience volunteering within a professional organisation A sense of satisfaction and pride for helping to make a valuable difference Opportunity to learn new skills and/or enhance an existing skillset

We are looking for a Community Fundraiser to help us raise money to continue to support individuals significantly affected by Covid-19. This role gives you the chance to get creative and develop new and innovative fundraising activities to raise funds for the charity! The duties of a Community Fundraiser volunteer may include: Planning, organising and promoting fundraising events in your local community – for example a coffee morning or a quiz night! Assisting at fundraising events and collecting funds on behalf of the charity, e.g. bucket collections. We are looking for a Funding Administrator to help us raise money to continue to support individuals significantly affected by Covid-19. This is a remote, flexible volunteering opportunity.
