About the event: Renfrewshire Council deliver a number of events throughout the year. A local favourite of the event calendar is Renfrew Gala Day. Renfrew Gala Day will take place on Sunday 4th June 2023 at the Robertsons Park, a fun-packed event with plenty to do for the whole family. Renfrew Gala Day Event Volunteers: Renfrew Gala Day is looking for helpers to deliver this delightful summer event. Examples of tasks undertaken as the Renfrew Gala Day Volunteer •Act as a point of contacts to the event visitors. Your main duties will be to assist event visitors with event information and site directions. •Welcome and guide event guests. •Assist event staff on the day with event related minor tasks. •Tearoom assistance. •Event set up and derig. Paisley's ever-popular Barshaw Gala Day will return on Saturday 17th June from Midday to 4pm. It's a fun, free day out for all the family. Barshaw Gala Day Event Volunteers: Barshaw Gala Day is looking for helpers to deliver this fun local summer event in Paisley. Examples of tasks undertaken as the Barshaw Gala Day Volunteer •Act as a point of contacts to the event visitors. Your main duties will be to assist event visitors with event information and site directions. •Welcome and guide event guests. •Assist event staff on the day with event related minor tasks. •Event set up and derig. About the Event: Sma’ Shot Day is a colourful and charismatic celebration of Paisley’s proud heritage of community activism and togetherness. The event will take place on Saturday 1st of July. The day marks the weaver’s historic victory over the middlemen between the factory owners and the weavers for payment for the crucial, but unseen Sma' shot thread that bound together the Paisley shawls. The whole day will be a celebration for Paisley ‘Buddies’ and visitors alike with live music and dance, arts, and crafts and much, much more! Sma’ Shot Day Volunteers: Paisley’s annual Sma’ Shot Day celebrations is back and is looking for volunteers to deliver an exciting and fun live programme on 1st of July 2023. Examples of tasks undertaken as a Sma’ Shot Day event volunteer: •Welcoming Host – Welcome event guest into to the tea dance venue, check guest registration and tickets, assist event leads with other relevant tasks. •Workshop Assistant –Assist workshop leads with the workshop guestlists and ticket checks, help with workshop activities, resetting and cleaning workshop area before, after and in-between the workshops. •Parade support – Provide support to the community groups who are walking in the parade, make sure the parade walkers, banners and structures are looked after during and after the walk. •Event Point of Contact – Act as a point of contacts to the event visitors. Main duties will be to assist event visitors with event information and site directions. Other duties will include, help distribute event programmes, welcome and guide event guests, assist event staff on the day with minor tasks. •Radio Room Assistant- You will be assisting event crew with radio sign in/out protocol, making sure everyone has been assigned radio, an earpiece and event accreditation. Your other responsibility will be to look after radio charging station, charging up radios, and looking after Radio Room equipment through the festival.
