Charity registered in Scotland SC005561

PKAVS is a small charity with a big heart working tirelessly to improve lives and connect communities throughout Perth & Kinross. We help over 5,000 local people through our 5 hubs - Carers, Minority Communities, Third Sector & Volunteering, and Mental Health & Wellbeing.

Our charity is diverse, supporting people from many backgrounds, of all ages, and with vastly differing needs. We work alongside the NHS, local council, government, and voluntary bodies to help as many people as we can achieve their goals and recognise their potential.

We aim to achieve our purpose by providing person-centred support, working in partnership with local and national bodies, and connecting with, and across, the communities within Perth & Kinross.

Our vision is a Perth & Kinross where all communities are inclusive and connected, and local people are helped to reach their potential - through an organisation that is driven by first-class front-line services, an in-touch and up-to-date understanding of the needs of communities, and continuous communication and integration with local services, organisations, and bodies.

PKAVS is a charity that traverses boundaries; serving individuals, families, groups, and organisations across Perth & Kinross – Enhancing Lives and Connecting Communities.

Current opportunity

Kindness. Wellbeing. Empowerment. Inclusivity. The values we at PKAVS believe should be at the heart of Perth and Kinross. Agree? Then consider adding your voice, experience and ideas to the PKAVS Board of Trustees. PKAVS are looking for new trustees to bring our vision of a Perth and Kinross where people flourish and communities thrive to life. If you could help us listen and engage with individuals, their families and communities and work alongside those we support to have their voices heard, then we want to hear from you. An independent charity, PKAVS is committed to: • Supporting and caring for people when they need our help. • Connecting and empowering people and their communities to improve their own lives and the lives of others. • Putting kindness and wellbeing at the heart of our work. • Championing equality of opportunity. Our Board of Trustees are looking to welcome three new members. Currently Trustees meet around nine times a year. What skills or experience could you add? We would particularly welcome applications from groups currently underrepresented on our Board including women, people from minority communities, young people and those who have engaged with our organisation and/or services. We would also welcome applications from people with experience of corporate fundraising. Interested? Then send your CV and covering letter outlining what you could add to the Board to HR by emailing by 31st July 2021. If you would like to arrange an informal chat about the role and/or process then email PKAVS Board Chairperson Archie MacLellan at
