Narture CIC is an artist collective baking real bread and food/drinks from scratch to earn the dough to fund arts projects. We aim to use creativity to reanimate the historic quarter of Ayr, driven by experiential retail and cultural tourism. Our core objective is to provide community benefits by developing income sources, primarily through food and drinks and socially engaged arts. We seek to encourage every aspect of creativity as important: from everyday household skills to high-end aspirational arts, through to the essential day-to-day skills of managing and promoting accessibility to ALL members of society. At Narture you will have the opportunity to be involved in many aspects of the day to day running of the bakery/store including:
- Serving customers
- Stock replenishment
- Till work
- Serving hot drinks
- Helping with keeping the store tidy and clean

Narture CIC is looking to work with a experienced sourdough baker, someone who has had experience in artisanal baking or commercial baking, to help mentor and train new bakery assistants. This position would be ideal for a retired baker who is looking to volunteer a few hours a week, has a passion for baking, possibly someone who enjoys training others and would like to mentor new bakers.

We are looking for a dedicated volunteer to help us develop financial stability, grow and develop our human resources, give strong leadership on our values and moving on to identifying new areas of development.

We are seeking to appoint a Volunteer Officer to work alongside the core group. This is a strategic role, responsible for ensuring that there is coherence across all the enterprise’s activities. The role will provide leadership in recruiting and managing suitable volunteers for various support positions needed in the organization. Our ideal candidate will be dynamic and flexible leader, with the ability to seek out opportunities for the collective, with a genuine passion for food and arts.
