At Oshay's Brian Domaine CIC we provide a much-needed support service for biological parents, foster carers, adoptive parents, kinship carers and stepparents across the whole of the UK, as well as the professionals who work and support these families.
We run regular classes https://www.oshaysfasd.org/classes and we're planning to set up new ones starting January. We require volunteers to take up roles such as play volunteers, play leaders volunteers to facilitate our playgroup and sensory groups.
Ideal placements and experiences for students enrolled in early years courses and childcare programmes.
As part of our volunteer support package, we offer bi-monthly volunteer meetings during which volunteers can share updates, opinions, discussions, etc. Any out-of-pocket expenses are reimbursed and volunteer night outs. We can give references after 6 months commitment with our group.
Oshay’s Brain Domain CIC, previously known as Oshay’s FASD, was formed in 2019 to raise awareness, spread knowledge & understanding of what FASD is, and support for the individual with FASD.
We also provided a much needed support service for biological parents, foster carers, adoptive parents, kinship carers and step parents across the whole of the UK, as well as the professionals who work and support these families.
Now, after the Covid-19 pandemic, we have relaunched as Oshay’s Brain Domain’s CIC
This allows us to offer all our support and services to more people that are effected by ANY brain based condition.
We would like the support of a group leader/tutor fluent in Makaton and/or BSL to support parents and staff to relate with nonverbal children.
