Hillfoots Tales

Hillfoots Tales is an inclusive community organisation; researching and telling the
stories, old and new, of our local area to re-connect our communities and people with
the landscape and all its rich diversity. Hillfoots Tales aims to advance the education of
the public in Clackmannanshire and Hillfoots area; in the art of storytelling, to collect
and share the myths, the legends and the history of the area, to encourage public
interest in the oral storytelling tradition, heritage and the local landscape. Stories
connect us to the past and to those who went before us, connecting us to a future we
cannot see but touch. Our mission statement is “Hillfoots Tales, connecting, people and
place on a global level through the magic of storytelling.” We envision a world where
people and places are connected through the magic of storytelling, creating a strong
sense of well-being and acceptance. Our work with communities is based on delivering
the values on connection, creativity, health and learning on a solid foundation of
acceptance.
