Current opportunities

Lucky Ewe is seeking to bring extra energy and perspective to its Trustee group as they grow this new educational charity in NE Fife. More here They wish to recruit trustees who work well with others & have the experience & foresight to help steer them forward. They are interested in individuals with a financial, business development or farming background, but all volunteers will be kindly considered. Trustees who want to volunteer in practical tasks on the farm are also welcome. You should work well with the appointed staff. Trustees meet at least once a month, via Zoom if preferred. Each trustee needs to prepare for the monthly meeting, participate creatively in the meeting, give their best considered advice, and complete their accepted actions from the meeting in a timely way. Altogether a trustee should expect to give 5 hours per month to the charity, though they may choose to give more time. Meetings are set for Mondays.

Lucky Ewe is seeking more volunteers to help with their sheep and land management, as they grow this new educational charity in NE Fife. Lucky Ewe aims to give people with additional support needs of any kind, the chance to experience farming, animal husbandry and food production at a pre-entry level. The placements aim to build skills, confidence and experience to help Interns progress towards employment. We are interested in volunteers who enjoy being outside on the land and helping with all the tasks needed to care for a small flock of dairy sheep. Volunteers would help to feed the sheep, provide water, muck out, join in with fencing, move sheep when necessary and take part in the ongoing care of this calm flock of dairy sheep. Volunteers would also be part of the team working with Interns (beneficiaries) and must enjoy working with people in a flexible, relaxed and empathic manner.
