Children fall behind at school for a variety of reasons. We need caring adults who can tutor a child with reading, writing and number work. Being able to build a childs confidence as an able learner is vital when tutoring. Tutoring can have a huge impact on childrens lives. Tutors work with a child on a one to one basis to teach the basics of reading, writing and numeracy. Tutors enjoy seeing the young persons confidence as a learner develop and when progress is made feel a great deal of satisfaction. Free training is provided, so if you're interested in a career in teaching/ education or just want to support a local child why not give 1 or 2 hours of your time a week and get involved.
Provide support for learners requiring tutoring in their reading, writing and numeracy skills.
