Two thirds of the olunteers would be involved in setting up and dismantling tables, boiler and drinks paraphernalia to serve hot and cold drinks to visitors to the garden before and after the events. These drinks and biscuits are offered free of charge with a donation bucket available.
They would look after the musicians, offering them refreshments as they require them. The whole event for the musical component lasts about 2-2.5 hrs with the set up and dismantling included. The bonus for these events are the concert that they are able to attend whilst volunteering.
The fete is similar in the set up and dismantling but obviously runs for a longer period of time, so for this annual event we would look for people willing to work from 11.00am to approx. 4.00pm on the relevant Saturday.
For the last 45 plus years, Cyrenians, an independent Scottish charity with a commitment to the vulnerable, the homeless and to the environment, has walked with people on the edge of society and tried to support those heading that way in finding another direction. The Cyrenian vision is of a truly inclusive Scotland, where everyone has the opportunity to make the very best of who they are. We believe that transformational change is possible no matter the starting point. We know that sometimes each of us will stumble on our journey of change; our task when that happens is to lift each other up again and continue the journey together
