We have places for 15 young people on a woodland and craft based project to improve Bowling harbour. Volunteers will be trained in looking after woodland and green woodworking. There will then be the opportunity to help Green Aspirations Staff train others. The project is designed to inspire volunteers to connect with nature, gain employability skills and try green woodworking
Through our work with communities, we aim to support people to care for their environment and themselves. We do this by: Enhancing and conserving mixed native woodland for biodiversity, the local community and future generations Delivering workshops in traditional and rural skills Working with vulnerable groups to raise aspirations within the green sector Creating economic activity from local woodland resources thereby becoming sustainable Providing a consultancy service to community groups to improve green space and woodlands Offering weekly volunteer days for people to benefit from the exercise while conserving our woodland and learning new skills.
