Grampian 50+ Network is a registered Scottish Charity for Older People's Walking Groups which operates across Grampian. With 44 groups in membership and almost 1000 members from Aberdeen City, Aberdeenshire & Moray, the Network offers training, events and produces a regular newsletter. We now require a Treasurer to work with the committee and deal with a range of duties. The volunteering involved is not an every day duty, more to suit our events that we run several times each year along with paying accounts, volunteer expenses etc. The treasurer will be a trustee and attend Committee Meetings approx 6 times each year as well as attending our events. We are looking for a person with either/or both Accountancy or Financial experience to design, develop and implement a working electronic financial system (with our team) which can interface with our existing banking, sales and invoicing systems, then train the team how to operates it. The system should ideally be capable of generating all necessary reports on all financial transaction interfaces and types. The Treasure will then report all relevant data into the board and deliver the end of year financial report for the centre.

Role Title: Trustee/Treasurer Role description of volunteering opportunity: The Club runs its own powerchair football training sessions on Tuesdays between 7pm and 10pm at the Citadel in Ayr. Sessions specifically designed for wheelchair users across the Ayrshire region. Ayrshire Tigers PFC is a community-based Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) based in Ayr which works in partnership with the Scottish Powerchair Football Association (SPFA) to provide equal opportunities for powerchair users in Ayrshire to engage in team sport. The Club is an independent organisation run by its own board of trustees which is elected by its members. The club is focused on providing opportunities to play, coach and support powerchair football and is open to everyone. The team is currently playing in the Scottish Powerchair Football Championship. The Club was formed to benefit wheelchair users living in Ayrshire to engage in team sport and prevent isolation by offering a place for people to come and feel welcome, have fun and be part of a team.
