Join the Adam Smith Heritage Centre as a Heritage Trail Tour Guide! This exciting volunteer role offers a unique chance to immerse yourself in history while gaining valuable skills. They are seeking enthusiastic and personable individuals to join their team as Volunteer Heritage Tour Guides. In this role, you will be responsible for guiding visitors, including international guests, through the Adam Smith Heritage Tour. The tour includes key locations such as the Heritage Centre, the historic garden, Kirk Wynd, and other significant sites related to Adam Smith's life and legacy in Kirkcaldy.

Organisation aims and objectives

Through recognition, promotion, publicising and study of the life and works of Dr. Adam Smith, to advance in Scotland and elsewhere, community development and citizenship, education, arts, heritage, culture, science, public participation in sport and the prevention or relief of poverty.

Experience required: -Strong communication skills -Confidence in public speaking and leading groups -Ability to volunteer independently -Ability to adapt tours to suit the needs and interests of different visitor groups

Museum Helper

We are looking for enthusiastic and friendly volunteers who can regularly give us four hours of their time per fortnight. We are currently open 2 days a week from 11am to 3pm and are hoping to increase our opening hours in the near future.
