Description

West Fife Villages Youth Work run multiple youth clubs throughout the week at various centres across the South and West Fife area. They are looking for volunteers to assist youth work staff in planning and delivery of local youth work opportunities. This includes building relationships; creating safe spaces for the young people that attend; and running activities such as digital sessions, gaming cafes, active eats, and employability-based youth work activities.

As a Youth Club Assistant, you will be given full training and support, and can have fun while making a real difference to local young people. All applicants will undergo a PVG check.

Volunteers can choose which youth clubs to be involved with during the week.

Restrictions

Experience required: Volunteers should be comfortable communicating with and providing support to young people, and must have a positive attitude. No experience with young people is required.
Travel details: This opportunity takes place across community centres in South and West Fife.
Minimum age: 16

Expenses paid: Yes
Expenses details: Expenses reimbursed at 45p per mile or public transport rates.
Training details: Volunteers will be provided with a full induction and ongoing support from a named contact and other volunteers. Further training can be accessed through Fife Council.
