Description

That’s Me! aims to make a positive impact to teenagers aged 12 to 19 who could benefit from wellbeing support. Once a week, they get to socialise, make new friends and be themselves without any judgement. That’s Me! offers one-to-one advice as well as group activities.
This role involves having a basic understanding of mental health and an interest in supporting young people who might experience challenges.

Organisation aims and objectives

Big Hearts Community Trust is an independent charity working in partnership with Heart of Midlothian Football Club to deliver community based activities. The trust has three full time, and one part time staff member. Our main project areas are: 1. Kinship Care – comprehensive support package for families in Edinburgh, including training sessions for carers and an after school club. 2. Big Hearts Supporters – a unique fan engagement project, designed to encourage fans of the club to become volunteers. 3. Football Memories – a support group for those with a dementia diagnosis, using reminiscence tools at Tynecastle. 4. Big Hearts Befrienders – a befriending project for Hearts fans to support kinship care young people through 1-1 engagement.
