Description

Do you want to give something back to your community? If so, then this is the role for you!
Sported consultants are paired with community sports clubs who need expertise in various areas to become sustainable and increase their capacity. These opportunities are very flexible - from a 15-minute call with a club leader who has questions in your skills area, to a 6 month placement.
As a Sported volunteer, you’ll share your professional skills and expertise with community groups, having a huge effect on these clubs.
Full induction is offered, together with personal development opportunities, and you will join a network of skilled Sported consultants across the UK. You will help a diverse range of people and organisations and will receive support throughout from the Sported team.
Most importantly you will have fun!

Organisation aims and objectives

Sported is a leading Sport for Change charity, helping to transform the lives of disadvantaged young people across the UK. We’re a membership organisation, working with over 3000 amazing community groups and organisations that are using the power of sport to tackle the root causes of some of society’s biggest problems, and giving disadvantaged young people the opportunities to succeed in life. We support the inspirational local heroes and heroines that run these clubs by providing free business and financial support so that they have the skills, knowledge and resources to continue their amazing work. We have a network of volunteer business mentors who work with our members on a one-to-one basis, providing expert consultancy on a range of business issues.
