Description

We are looking for volunteers who are passionate about our cause to spread the word about Jubilee House. We have lots of flyers and QR code support sticker we would like you to take to establishments around Renfrewshire. It can be extrememly difficult to reach women who desperately need our help so by spreading awareness, you could help save women and their children.
We would also love it if you could set up information stalls at local events to help raise awareness.

Organisation aims and objectives

We are a SCIO which primarily help women who are the victims of present or past abuse. We run courses to help women understand what they have been through and build the skills they need to live an abuse free life. We also offer empowerments classes for women to teach them the skills they need to live their best life. We also have health and wellness wellness classes for women.

Community Engagement Facilitator

Being a Community Facilitator is all about delivering a variety of lifesaving first aid skills in community engagement workshops and projects, within local communities, and primary and secondary schools. A lot of these projects involve talking about and demonstrating the basics of first aid to community groups that can include children, young people, and vulnerable adults. An example of events you could be delivering a first aid talk and demo to, are primary and secondary schools, small university groups, local community groups, charities, summer fairs, shopping centres. Some of the skills you could be teaching include how to provide CPR and apply a defib, different bandages and how to use them, and basic information on various health conditions. Not only that but all the training needed, is provided by us at no cost to you!

The communities and schools we work with can be located across West Dunbartonshire and its surrounding areas. We will make you aware of the volunteering opportunities available and at that time let you know details regarding address and organiser details. Able to work as part of a team, excellent communication skills, excellent organisation and planning skills, positive attitude, flexible and adaptable to needs of charity. Please apply if you have experience of public speaking, a basic understanding of first aid, or maybe you’re studying a medical related degree (or even have one) and looking to volunteer.
