3D Drumchapel is a charity which has been working with children and families in Drumchapel and surrounding areas for 25 years. We journey with children, families and communities to build strong foundations for families to thrive. We aim to strengthen family relationships, support parents to be the best parents they can be, improve family health & wellbeing, support children's development and build capacity in communities for family support delivery.

Are you looking to gain experience, whilst doing something fun and worthwhile during the summer holidays?

We are looking for fun and energetic people to help out during our summer programme and have flexible opportunities to suit everyone.
Our roles consist of supporting the staff and existing volunteers team to run family play sessions with newborn children to age 12. Our varied volunteer shifts range from day trips to buggy walks and indoor play sessions.

Our services include a perinatal programme, parent & child sessions, parenting programmes, learning & development sessions, outdoor play, peer support groups, 1-1 support, family support in schools and practical support including Bairn Necessities which redistributes clothing and equipment for 0-5 years.

Experience required: You do not need experience for these roles, we just need people with a good level of fitness and a fun personality.
Travel details: Regular buses are available from city centre. Drumchapel train station is about a 15 minute walk to Drumchapel Community Centre.

Expenses paid: Yes
Expenses details: We reimburse any out of pocket expenses for travel to and from the opportunity including fares and mileage. Lunch is also included in some sessions.

You show up, get stuck in, and make memories for life. As long as you're over 18, you can help out as a Beaver leader. There is no upper age limit for adult volunteers. Sounds fun? Worthwhile? It is.

In-water Volunteer

Inclusive Surfing Scotland is a new charity that delivers surfing experiences to children and adults with disabilities that restrict their access to the waves. We are recruiting in-water volunteers to support our surfers in the water, helping to push them into waves, catch them in the shallows and provide support and encouragement throughout. All volunteers will complete our in-house training (an online induction, followed by in-water training) and will be PVG checked. Help make our surfers experience in the waves unforgettable!

Big Noise Torry Volunteers

We believe every child and young person deserves the same opportunity to succeed and so we provide free, immersive, instrumental music tuition to pupils and pre-school children. This leads to an enhanced ability to learn in school, improvements in emotional wellbeing, confidence and esteem, as well as the acquisition of a range of social and life skills. To achieve this, volunteers are vital for our Big Noise Centre in Torry. As a Big Noise volunteer, you'll be helping us transform children's lives through music. You don't need to have any musical experience, just a passion for making a difference to the lives of young people. Volunteers help in a variety of valuable ways, including: • Helping children stay focused and engaged during music lessons • Walk children from school to the Big Noise Centre • Helping set up for rehearsals and music lessons and assisting the children and young people to play their instruments if required • Supervise children during snack times, breaks, time-out etc. • and much more... You can become a positive role model in children’s lives and someone they look forward to spending time with. You will benefit from this by receiving training, developing skills in communication and gaining experience of working with children and young people. Big Noise Torry/Sistema Scotland have also achieved the Investing in Volunteers Award-a national quality standard for good practice in involving volunteers as part of our commitment to volunteering and providing excellent support to volunteers. Friday Night Youth Club Volunteers

The Friday Youth club is a vital social club for all children in Garthdee. Bring your best attitude and come help us make Friday Youth Club something the kids won't forget! Your responsibilities will be: 1) To assist in the running of the youth programme. 2) To supervise young people and ensure general health & safety and rules of conduct. 3) To assist with necessary programme set-up and clean-up. 4) To facilitate and participate in games, activities and discussions with young people This is also a great opportunity to develop you customer services, communication and care skills.
