Peer Mentoring is an opportunity for parents with experience or knowledge of care to connect with each other.
Our volunteer Peer Mentors provide support, guidance, and encouragement to expectant or new parents, becoming part of their ‘Village’.
Mentors will engage with and empower mentees, drawing from their own life experiences.
Benefits include:
Become part of a supportive, non-judgemental community
Meetings that fit your schedule – online or in person
Receive accredited training from the Scottish Mentoring Network
Get paid for your travel expenses
Improve your own confidence as well as your mentees
Develop your communication skills
Build a trusting relationship with a fellow parent
Receive your own mentor welcome pack
The Why Not? Trust is a community developed with and for people with experience of care. We offer a digital community where care experienced parents can come together and receive varying forms of support including Peer Mentoring.
