Description

Cohousing Scotland is a charity supporting innovative, community-led housing solutions across Scotland. We act as a support forum for local Cohousing groups, fostering best practice, promoting opportunities and providing guidance to stakeholders. We are in the process of expanding our new website to make the idea of cohousing more accessible to everybody. We are looking for volunteers to join our team who are familiar with WordPress and have worked with Elementor. We know there are many people in Scotland who would love to live in a cohousing community. Our ambition is to develop a platform where people can find others interested in cohousing.

Frequency and time commitment are negotiable to fit your time and circumstances.

Restrictions

Experience required: We are looking for someone who is excited to be involved in supporting the spread of community-led housing, cohousing and cooperative housing across Scotland. As a volunteer with tech knowledge and experience your skills will support the growth of the charity and help to bring people together who are looking for innovative housing solutions.
Minimum age: 18

Support

Training details: An introduction to the charity will be given and support will be available from trustees and from the Comms team of volunteers who meet regularly.

FRESH Volunteers

Fresh Community Wellness is a growing grassroots charity, registered Scottish Charity Number, SC051346. We operate out of Aberdeen city, working within a (S.I.M.D) high neighbourhood to create lasting change and build a legacy for the future. Predominantly in Seaton neighbourhoods and outdoors, we work with volunteers/residents, with a salutogenic approach to community wellness. To help with this we have great opportunities and need people to help out as volunteers for a range of roles including: *Food growing, gardeners, greenspace management, tidy ups volunteers. *Mentors, community engagement, events, entertainers (kids, adults, 55+). *Outdoors games & sports volunteers, building outdoor areas for residents (sheltered housing seating), health. *Artists/ Sculptors to begin on our Street Art & Design projects, and sculptures. *Admin, coordinators, team lead volunteers, advisors & support volunteers. *Drop-in café helpers, advisors, cooking assistants. All are fantastic opportunities to make a real difference for people and communities in Aberdeen. Excellent support and relevant training is provided to all volunteers. Volunteer Leader

The Retired and Senior Volunteer Programme (RSVP) encourages and supports people aged 50+ to volunteer in their local communities. Across Stirling, Falkirk and Clackmannanshire we run 5 projects involving hundreds of volunteers. These include volunteering activities within local hospitals and primary schools, charitable knitting groups, a walking group for older people, and a community Handyperson Service. We are looking for new Volunteer Leaders who can help ensure that our groups and activities run smoothly. For example, as a Schools Volunteer Leader you will help us to recruit new volunteers, and making sure that existing volunteers are supported and enjoying their volunteering experience. We currently have vacancies for school leaders in Stirling, Falkirk and in Clackmannanshire. Instead, if you would prefer to become a Handyperson Leader, you will help to ensure that tasks needed by older people are "assigned" to an appropriate volunteer, and that all volunteers are supported. We currently have a vacancy for a Handyperson Leader in Stirling and Clackmannanshire. Or perhaps you have a new idea for an activity or group, that older people could take part in? We'd love to help you set up a group and can provide all ongoing support! The volunteering hours are fully flexible and we will be able to work around your availability. If you are passionate about volunteering and would like to help us support other volunteers, we would love to hear from you!
