Description

Raith Rovers are looking for volunteers to support their children and young people's football groups in Kirkcaldy. They have groups throughout the week for children and young people of all ages to take part in football. As a volunteer, you will help the coach to facilitate the sessions - setting up equipment, speaking with participants and supporting the children to get involved during the sessions.

No previous experience is needed, as long as you are enthusiastic about helping young people to get active and have fun, this could be the role for you!

Organisation aims and objectives

a) To advance the education of children, young people and adults by providing opportunities to engage in the study, practice and teaching of community sports and community learning which develops their spiritual, mental and physical capacities and enable them to improve their conditions of life. b) To advance public participation in sport in Kirkcaldy and the surrounding area through the promotion, alone or in conjunction with others, of participation in football and other sporting activities and acting as advisors in relation to the development of football and other sporting activities. c) To advance health in Fife by the promotion, alone or in conjunction with others, of the benefits of physical activity and provision of assistance in relation to sports-related and healthy lifestyle matters

There are sessions throughout the week, and volunteers can choose to be involved in as many or as few as they are able to.

Restrictions

Experience required: Raith Rovers are looking for volunteers who are enthusiastic, friendly and energetic. No experience of coaching or running sporting sessions is necessary as training will be provided.
Travel details: Sessions take place at Starks Park, Pratt Street, Kirkcaldy, KY1 1SA.
Minimum age: 14

Expenses details: Expenses can be discussed on an individual basis.
Training details: Volunteers will be offered induction and ongoing training, by the co-ordinator, and will have a named contact for support throughout.
